Let's face it, when most people start the home buying process they don't know who to trust. They don't know what questions to ask and maybe most importantly they don't know how to protect themselves from making a poor decision. After all, if buying a home is the most important financial decision of your lifetime it better be a good one. There's no need to worry because we're going to help. Todd (Renegade) Thornton has written a couple of different books for home buyers, but he's currently in the process of putting together an entire online course just for home buyers.
In the meantime, you're welcome to check out Todd's latest book for home buyers the next time you're in your local Barnes and Noble since it's stocked in just about every store nationwide. The Home Buyer's Organizer was published through a Barnes and Noble subsidiary (Sterling Publishing) so you know it's great quality, but what you may not know is what a bargain it is. It's a spiral bound foldout workbook with several pockets for your important paperwork, but it's only priced at $14.95. Why? Here's what happened. Todd's initial contract with Barnes and Noble called for a 128 page book. (They chose Todd to write it after seeing his first book for home buyers) They wanted something with checklists and short bullet points covering all the key points to buying a home. Todd was cranking away at his computer for several months, but when the book layout was complete he was way over on pages. He didn't think about pages when writing he just wanted to cram as much information as possible into the book and certain topics just couldn't be condensed into bullet points. Todd convinced Barnes and Noble to keep the material in and expand the book to 176 pages. At this point the price had already been set per the original guidlines and since the printing costs came in under budget, they kept the price at $14.95. Long story short it's a tremendous bargain. Even other authors have commented to Todd about the unbelievably low price.
